CONSENT, RELEASE, & INDEMNIFICATION

It is agreed that in the mutual interest of Camp and the participants, all rules and regulations of Camp will be respected. I understand that part of the camping experience involves activities and group living arrangements and interactions that may be new to the participant(s). These things come with risk and uncertainties. The camp reserves the right to dismiss, without refund, any participant who willfully disregards Camp's rules or who causes problems affecting the experiences of other participants or Camp staff. This will be done by the sole discretion of the Camp Director. It is mutually understood the Camp accepts no responsibility for any loss of damages to, any participant's property incurred during the Family Camp or while in transit.

I agree that Camp Young Judaea-Texas may use any photograph, video, image, likeness, utterance or statement in which the participant(s) may appear or be involved, in whole or in part, in any media, including the internet, for proportional purposes, without approval by or compensation to the participant(s).


CYJ Texas Waterfront/High Ropes/Challenge Course/Archery Indemnity Agreement

When working outdoors and leading physical activities, safety is our main concern. Our activities and equipment are regularly inspected before use and checked annually for our archery, high ropes, challenge course, and water front activities. We will discuss basic rules of safety and provide the special organization, supervision, instruction and equipment you need to participant. It is impossible for us to eliminate all risk, however, participant must commit to follow instructions and use sound personal judgement. This will contribute greatly to everyone's well-being. By accepting these terms and conditions the participant(s) and/or guardian accepts that there are inherent risks and hazards in waterfront/high ropes/archery/challenge course programming and agree to hold CYJ Texas harmless.

I/we, as a participant(s) and/or parent/guardian of a participant, understand I will be participating in activities that involve periods of physical exertion, balancing, heights (up to 50'), lifting, pushing, pulling, swimming, boating, and climbing. I/we know most activities will be outdoors where I/we will need to watch for slippery and/or uneven footing, limbs and branches, insects and animals, and possible exposure to extreme or inclement weather. I/we fully understand that my physical activity involves risk of injury.

I/we understand that the participant(s) will not be forced to do any activity and that despite all reasonable precautions taken, a guarantee of absolute safety is impossible. I/we agree to exercise good personal judgement, to ask for help if I/we am concerned about my safety, and to be responsible for deciding if my ability to participate is appropriate for me. I/we agree to inform my instructors of any physical, mental or medical condition that might affect my ability to participate or affect other members of my group. I/we realize that failure to tell information could result in serious harm to me or other. I/we also state that I am not under, and will not be under the influence of any chemical substance including alcohol. I/we agree to comply with safety instructions given and to be responsible for my person safety and well-being.

I/we agree to hold CYJ Texas, it's Directors, Officers, Employees, Agents, and all contracted employees and/or Associates harmless for any accidents, injury, loss of or damages to personal property that may occur. I/we understand that all possible precautions are taken to ensure​ that all programs and activities sponsored by CYJ Texas are conducted by mature and qualified personnel in a safe and responsible manner. I/we voluntarily assume the risk of the activities and agree to report any injuries immediately.

I/we have read and understood all materials outlining the waterfront/high ropes/archery/challenge course, including this waiver and agree to abide by these terms. I am aware this is a waiver and a release of liability and I consent voluntarily.
